  1. WSU General Scholarship Application: To be considered for most WSU Everett scholarships, you must complete the WSU General Scholarship Application.

WSU Everett Scholarships

Automatic Consideration (No Separate Application Required)

International Achievement Award

A tuition-based award distributed to high-achieving international students admitted to WSU with a cumulative transfer GPA of 3.3 or higher. Awards vary from $2,000 to $4,000 per academic year.

The International Academic Awards are automatically renewable for two additional years for transfer students if you meet the following renewal criteria for each academic year:

  • Maintain a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade-point average by the end of the spring semester.
  • Maintain 12 credits each semester or complete 24 semester credits by the end of the spring semester.
  • Maintain non-resident degree-seeking student status.

WSU Everett WUE Award

The WSU Everett WUE Award enables students from the 16 WICHE states and territories in the Western US to enroll as nonresidents and pay 150 percent of the enrolling school’s resident tuition. No additional application is required.

  • Students receiving the WUE Award must maintain full-time undergraduate status with WSU Everett (12 credits or more per semester).
  • Students who are dually enrolled at another community college or institution to meet program requirements are eligible for the award if full-time status is met between the two institutions.
  • Please provide documentation showing verification of enrollment at the additional institution.
  • This award may not be transferred to another WSU campus location.
  • Please note that if you are receiving financial aid, the amount of this award will be included in the determination of financial aid eligibility.
  • The total amount of this award and other allowable waivers or payments of tuition cannot exceed the tuition amount charged.
  • Tuition-based awards may include, but are not limited to: Veteran’s benefits, employee tuition subsidies, and GET funding.
  • The student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. who is charged with nonresident tuition.
  • The WUE Award is renewable for up to two years if the following criteria are met:
    • Maintain a WSU cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher.
    • Maintain 12 graded credit hours per semester.

Application Required

Ray Stephanson Leadership Scholarship

Ray Stephanson Scholars are student leaders with a desire to use their education to benefit the community, qualities in keeping with the fund’s namesake, who served as mayor of the City of Everett from 2003 through 2017. Mayor Stephanson was a vocal supporter of The Boeing Company and a champion of strengthening and diversifying the regional economy. Mayor Stephanson and the late WSU President Elson S. Floyd were the driving forces behind the establishment of WSU Everett, Snohomish County’s only four-year research institution. The Boeing Company generously donated funds in recognition of Mayor Stephanson’s service to the community. Scholarships from this endowed fund support the next generation of community and business leaders.

  • Must be a WSU student attending the Everett campus.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Scholarship is merit-based.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Amount varies.

WSU Everett Scott Carson Veteran Scholarship

Students with prior military experience have been some of the greatest leaders on the WSU Everett campus. Investment in this endowed scholarship fund, named for WSU Regent and former Boeing CEO, Scott Carson, will encourage more veterans to pursue higher education and succeed in their academic and professional careers.

  • Must be a WSU student attending the Everett campus.
  • Must be a veteran.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Amount varies.
  • Make sure to fill out the WSU General Scholarship application.

WSU Everett Scholarship Fund

Students thrive in small classes with expert faculty. They develop the knowledge and skills needed for a global economy through work with industry leaders like Boeing and Janicki Industries. The WSU Everett Scholarship Fund allows these students to fully engage in their studies, student life, and community service. Scholarships also help recruit and retain high-achieving students.

  • Must be a WSU student attending the Everett campus.
  • Must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Scholarship is merit-based.
  • Amount varies.

Launching Futures at WSU Everett: WSU Everett Advisory Council Scholarship Fund

In 2020, the WSU Everett Advisory Council endowed a new scholarship as an expression of their commitment to higher education and student success in the north Puget Sound region. This scholarship was funded with the participation of 100% of our Advisory Council. It supports students who are “High-Potential, Low-Income” and helps WSU Everett increase equity and access to higher education.

  • Must be a WSU student attending the Everett campus.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and a passion for WSU.
  • Extra consideration given to students from Snohomish County who are first-generation college students and/or have overcome major life challenges.
  • Amount varies.

Baker Family Scholarship

The Baker Family Scholarship supports students studying Business Administration at the WSU Everett campus.

  • The Baker Family Scholarship is available to Business Administration students with financial need.
  • Students receiving the Baker Family Scholarship must maintain full-time undergraduate status with WSU Everett (12 credits or more per semester) and be a Business Administration major.
  • Students who are dually enrolled at another community college or institution to meet program requirements are eligible for the award if major criteria and full-time status are met between the two institutions.
  • Please provide documentation showing verification of enrollment at the additional institution.
