Any form of prejudice has its roots in fear and ignorance. The only way to overcome and eradicate prejudice is to learn about those who are different from and unfamiliar to us, and see ourselves in one another, so we stop being afraid of those differences. When all kinds of humans are recognized as worthy of respect and kindness simply by virtue of their humanity, prejudice will become a thing of the past.
