WSU co-provost hosting faculty, staff forum on Oct. 23 in Everett

EricaAustinborderEverett, WA – Oct. 15, 2015 – WSU interim co-provost Erica Austin will host a forum for WSU North Puget Sound at Everett faculty and staff on Oct. 23 to discuss the co-provosts vision and goals for the interim period.

The forum will be held in Gray Wolf Hall room 364 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

During the visit Austin will also meet with dean Paul Pitre, senior advisor Bob Drewel and the executive team of the Associated Students of Washington State University Everett.

Austin has served as vice provost for Academic Affairs since 2014. She also has served as director of the Murrow Center for Media and Health Promotion Research in the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication.

Austin is internationally recognized for her research and outreach on how media literacy and parent-child communication about media contribute to decision making about health and civic affairs among children, adolescents and young adults. She has served as an advisor to the Washington state and federal government and to organizations nationwide on media literacy issues and health communication campaigns.

Ron Mittelhammer serves as WSU’s other interim co-provost.
