Flexible, High-Impact Certificate Programs
WSU Everett is proud to offer fully accredited evening certificate programs designed to provide maximum flexibility and accessibility for working professionals, parents, and other adult learners. These later course offerings make it possible to advance your education and career goals without interrupting daytime work schedules or personal responsibilities. Students benefit from learning alongside peers who bring real-world experience from a variety of industries, creating a collaborative and career-focused classroom environment. The evening schedule also allows participants to immediately apply new skills and knowledge in their current jobs, reinforcing learning through practical application. By offering high-quality, university-level education in a convenient local setting, WSU Everett supports lifelong learning and professional development opportunities for the greater Snohomish County community.
Evening Certificate and Course Offerings
An interdisciplinary certificate open to all WSU students, post-baccalaureate students, or those at junior standing, the sustainable organizational leadership certificate helps students develop cross-functional skills and expertise in financial, environmental, and social areas, with an emphasis on taking action to achieve an organization’s environmental and resource sustainability goals.
A collaboration between the Department of Sociology and the Carson College of Business, the certificate adds value to any primary area of study. Students interested in a variety of careers across the for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental sectors will find the program particularly fitting.

Designed for Working Professionals
Many of the certificates are free-standing, meaning students do not need to have specific pre-requisites to enroll. Our courses are taught by high-quality faculty, and the curriculum is tailored for industry relevance, career advancement, and paths into our degree offerings if desired.
You can expect:
- Flexible evening and online schedule (start times 4 p.m. or later)
- Small class sizes for collaborative and impactful learning offered once or twice a week per course.
- Students may be able to finish in three semesters, or 1 academic year for those starting in spring semester.
- Some employer benefits such as Amazon Career Choice are eligible for our certificate offerings.
How to Enroll
WSU Everett certificate programs are open to working professionals, current WSU students, and community members. Please follow these application steps:
- Contact a WSU Everett Admissions Counselor and let them know that you’re interested in evening courses or our certificate programs
- Start an application to WSU Everett and set your academic interest to “Exploring” if you are only interested in certificate programs. If you are interested in earning both a certificate and a degree, then please select the associated academic major (business, data analytics, etc.)
- Pay the $70 application fee and plan to submit any necessary materials. Your Admissions Counselor can help you out the entire way.

WSU has partnered with the Life Cycle Institute (LCI) to offer world-class programs and training designed and led by asset management, reliability engineering, and instructional design experts. LCI is dedicated to human performance improvement.
Life Cycle Institute (LCI) Offerings
Achieve your Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Certification (PSC) from one of the top engineering schools in the country! You will learn practical skills that can be applied on the job right away, demonstrate your commitment to building a solid maintenance planning and scheduling program, and increase your value to your organization.
This certification program will enable you to:
- Build and sustain a maintenance planning and scheduling program
- Move your organization from a reactive to a proactive environment
- Apply work planning best practices
- Calculate work management performance metrics
- Develop a comprehensive “standard” job plan
- Develop governing principles and standard procedures for CMMS data entry and use
- Describe a disciplined approach to managing work for a planned shutdown
- Develop an audit and continuous improvement strategy for the planning program
PSC Requirements
To earn a Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Certification (PSC), candidates must complete four courses and successfully pass the certification exam within three years. Learn more about this certification.

The Reliability Engineering Certification prepares reliability professionals to achieve maximum results in this strategic business role.
