The Ray Stephanson Leadership Scholarship

Ray Stephanson Scholars are student leaders with a desire to use their education to benefit the community, qualities in keeping with the fund’s namesake who served as mayor of the City of Everett from 2003 through 2017. Mayor Stephanson was a vocal supporter of The Boeing Company and a champion of strengthening and diversifying the regional economy. Mayor Stephanson and the late WSU President Elson S. Floyd were the driving forces behind the establishment of WSU Everett, Snohomish County’s only four-year research institution.
