PSBJ | WSU wants life science community’s help for new med school

Washington State University’s new medical school wants help from the state’s life sciences professionals.

As the new Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University gets closer to accreditation — with hopes of enrolling students for fall 2017 classes — school leadership hopes that local innovators will help the school build a “malleable and nimble” medical school that introduces new technologies and responds to changes as they occur in medicine.

“If you have ideas on what physicians of the future need to learn, how they need to be educated that gets them ready for the technologies that are coming and how to incorporate those into their practices, we would really encourage you to reach out to us,” Ken Roberts, vice dean of academic and community partnerships for the medical school, told a group at last week’s Life Science Innovation Northwest Conference…more
