The Department of Veterans Affairs has created an informational handout covering a range of topics specifically related to the federal job search and transition support for women Veterans.

My Next Move — My Next Move is a fantastic place to go if you’re a veteran seeking employment. You can search by industry, keyword, or look for opportunities that most closely match the job you held in the military.

Warriors to Work — This program, part of The Wounded Warrior Project, helps get vets back into the workforce by providing resources for both job-seekers and employers. This is a good place to become more educated about the specific needs of mentally and physically injured veterans.

Understanding Your Rights — If you have become disabled due to a combat injury, make sure to look at this guide to understanding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as it pertains to employment. It’s important to know what rights you have, what laws are in place to protect them, and where to turn if your rights have been violated.

Hiring Our Heroes — Hiring Our Heroes is a nationwide initiative from the US Chamber of Commerce. On their site you’ll find links, articles, and tools to help you find employment after the military. There’s also a list of upcoming job fairs and other events.
